Alaska Professional Hunter's Association
On the Alaska Professional Hunter's Association website you will find much of interest, i.e. Alaska wildlife facts, list of publications, the code of ethics for the association, list of members, and how to become a member.
Through this link to APHA you will also find the very important explanation of the recently created Non-Resident Hunter Preservation Fund (NRHPF). In brief, this fund was created to help insure that non-resident hunters will continue to have access to hunting opportunities within Alaska. This fund provides a pool from which to fight anti-hunting or hunting restrictive legislation. Funding for the NRHPF is provided by fees, you, the “Hunter” pay to your Professional Guide/Outfitter who is a member of APHA. The fee is $150.00, not very high when you consider it pays to preserve your right and opportunity to hunt in the State of Alaska. In payment of the fee you will receive:
- Two year sustaining membership in The Alaska Professional Hunters Association
- APHA Conservation Pin (Special Design by Rob Holt)
- Two year subscription to The Alaska Professional Hunter Magazine and Bare Facts Newsletter
- APHA membership Certificate
- APHA Patch, Lapel Pin and Decal
- The knowledge that they have helped to give future generations the ability to hunt in Alaska
