“Hunting moose with Gus Lamoureux at his Ugashik Lake camp was a true wilderness experience. My guide put me within 200 yards of a 70” moose, after spotting him nearly a mile away. Having placed a lung shot in the animal and then having him charge out of the bush toward me, was perhaps the biggest adrenaline rush I have ever experienced. After packing the moose meat to camp Gary (my guide) treated me to silver salmon fishing. We enjoyed moose and salmon for the evening meal. I can only relate to this as good living. I would recommend Gus Lamoureux for the finest hunting and accommodations Alaska has to offer.”
