Drawing the permit was the hardest part of this Mountain Goat hunt. Barbara Baldauf of Michigan shot this billy at an elevation of about 1200 feet, on the first day of her hunt. The stalk was started from sea level at about noon and we were back at base camp in time for dinner at 6:30 pm. She and her husband, Dave are coming back in 2006 so he can get his goat.
